Nancy Glassman’s painterly work in oil and in watercolor focuses on light and its revelations of color and tone and the nuances of seasonal change. She responds to rhythms and patterns to find paths into complicated scenes. Her paintings take notice of the moment, as a practice of reverence.
She has had solo shows at Caldbeck Gallery, in Rockland, at Maine Coast Artists Gallery and the Maine Jewish Museum, all in Maine, as well as many group shows, including the Sao Paulo Biennale, in Dusseldorf, Germany, and the Wyomissing Institute of Fine Arts, in Pennsylvania. She is in public and private collections in the US and abroad.
