Carol Sloane paints her world and her passions, often overlapping her images to suggest the passage of time. Her studio work, oil on canvas, is rooted in her digital camera photos, her constant companion on her daily walks and visits with friends. Her oil bar on paper work is all plein air, reflections of her travels and her delight in being in the out of doors.

Carol is a founding partner in the Downtown Gallery in Washington, Maine. She has shown in a number of galleries around the state, as well as in Canada. She has attended residencies at the Carina House on Monhegan Island, the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson, The Helene Wurlitzer Foundation in Taos, and The Cill Rialaig Project in Ballinskelligs, Ireland.
